Pink at the Brown: The Arts
Bring Life to Houston is a one-night-only gala performance on May 16 at 8 p.m.
in the Wortham Theater Center’s Brown Theater benefiting the Pink Ribbons
Project.
Houston arts organizations will come together on one stage with special performances, including works by Houston Theater District performing arts companies Alley Theatre, Da Camera, Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Ballet, and the Society for the Performing Arts. It will also feature works by local organizations Meta-Four Houston and Writers in the Schools.
Pink Ribbons Project promotes breast health, saves lives and improves quality of life for those touched by breast cancer – during the gala, Pink Ribbons Project will honor Houston treasures whose efforts have helped further its mission, aided the community and the arts. Honorees include arts advocate honoree Margaret Alkek Williams, physician honoree Frankie Ann Holmes, M.D., corporate honoree SoftLayer Technologies, Inc., and survivor honoree Margo Hilliard Alford, M.D., MPH.
