Miller Outdoor Theatre will screen the 2012 Academy Award winner for Best Picture,“The Artist”, on Saturday May 4 at 8:30 p.m. The film follows a silent movie star who meets a young dancer; the arrival of talking pictures sends their careers in opposite directions.
The film premiered at the 2011 Cannes film festival and was nominated for six Golden Globes, twelve BAFTAs, ten César awards and ten Academy Awards. It won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, becoming the most awarded French film. Rated PG-13. This event is not ticketed.
