Five Movies in August at Miller Outdoor Theatre

The month of August will see five free movie screenings at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

“Secondhand Lions” screens August 14 at 8:15 p.m.. The film is a coming-of-age story about a shy young boy sent by his irresponsible mother to spend the summer with his wealthy, eccentric uncles in Texas. Little by little, amazing stories come to life, filled with adventures in exotic lands involving kidnapped princesses, Arabian sheiks and lost treasure. These tales teach him what it means to believe in something, whether it’s true or not.

Miller hosts a “Grease” sing-a-long on August 15 at 8:15 p.m. There will be a costume contest and games before the film. Follow the lyrics and sing along with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

A different installment of the Men in Black trilogy screens each night August 19-21 at 8:15 p.m.. Catch the adventures of Agents K. and J., played by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith as they save the world from intergalactic threats.
